so cleveland went well.
Places I ate:
- Pier W (took the bride and groom there) best view of the lake and skyline anywhere in cleveland. dinner was marvy. Then we went to
- D'Vine. a wine bar, where cigars, wine and even a little spillage was had. I think this is one of the nicest most relaxed and yet most urban and trendiest places in cleveland. Great for old friends, new friends, people you want to impress, clients, your mom, whatever.
- Frankie's Italian cuisine. A pizza place from my childhood. Interestingly enough, there is chicago pizza and new york pizza, but noboy ever mentions cleveland pizza, and here is a classic example of it. Thicker crust (but not too thick) but its real charcter is from 1) the SWEET sauce, and 2) the SPCIY toppings. Any good pizza in cle-town has sweet sauce and spicy toppings.
- Mikes Place. a famous place in Kent (home of Kent State U, where those kids were shot in the 70's) They have an x-wing fighter outside the restaraunt, a school bus inside it and a menu item called "the Big Big Slop Bucket of Gold" a milk pail full of every fried food apetizer you have ever had (curly and straight fries, tater tots, ravioli, onion rings, mozz sticks, etc)
There were many other places and things we did, but every time i look at this point i get frustrated at editing it and not posting it..... so perhaps more to come!
